Extended Day
The hours in between school ending and parents returning home from work are crucial hours in the life of a child. Afterschool programs provide students the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning, interact with their peers, work under the care and supervision of supportive mentors, build on lessons learned during the school day and more.

Program Hours
Morning Care: 7:00 AM – 8:15 AM
Afternoon Care: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Registration
Registration forms are available in the Front Office and the Extended Day Office between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
Payments may be made through SchoolPay, cash, check, or money order.
If your child will not be returning to Extended Day this school year, please let me know.
Communication
Please be sure you are connected to the ParentSquare app as this is our primary method of communication. Important announcements, reminders, payment notices, program updates, and other information will be shared through ParentSquare throughout the school year. Staying connected will help ensure you don’t miss any important updates regarding the Extended Day Program.
About the Program
The OCPS Extended Day Program provides a safe, supervised environment for students in VPK through 5th grade before and after school.
Students participate in activities such as:
- Homework time
- Arts and crafts
- Organized games
- Supervised free play
- Enrichment activities
Safety
For your child’s safety:
- Parents/guardians must sign children in (sign in sheet in the mornings ) and out (pin out laptop in the afternoon)
- Only individuals listed on the registration form may pick up a child.
- Only individuals listed on the pick-up sheet have a unique pin out code. These will be shared with you the first week of school.
- Photo identification is required for anyone unfamiliar to staff.
- Any special care instructions must be provided in writing to the coordinator.
Fees
Annual Registration Fee: $12.00 per child

Please Note:
- Tuition is paid weekly in advance.
- Weekly fees are charged regardless of attendance.
- No credit is given for absences unless a child is absent for an entire week.
- Students may be withdrawn from the program for nonpayment.
- Late pick-up fees are $10 per hour, charged in 15-minute increments. Repeated late pick-ups may result in dismissal from the program.
Scholarships
A limited number of scholarships may be available for qualifying families. Please contact the Extended Day Coordinator for an application. Eligibility is not guaranteed, even if your family has received assistance in previous years.
