Principal’s Message

Clay Springs Elementary School Principal

Welcome to the 2026–27 School Year, Clay Springs Families!

It is with genuine joy that I welcome you to a brand‑new school year at Clay Springs Elementary. Whether you are returning to our Black Bear family or joining us for the first time, we are grateful to have you as part of our community. Clay Springs is a special place, and I am honored to serve as principal of a school filled with such dedicated students, families, and staff.

This year, we celebrate an important milestone together—Clay Springs earned a “B” school grade for the 2025–26 school year! This accomplishment reflects the hard work, resilience, and partnership of our entire community. Thank you for believing in our mission and for supporting the growth of every child who walks through our doors.

At Clay Springs, we are a community of learners. Our teachers, staff, families, and students work side‑by‑side to uphold high expectations, nurture curiosity, and create a learning environment where every child feels seen, supported, and capable of success. We are committed to helping each student grow academically, socially, emotionally, and physically because every student matters, and every moment counts.

As we begin this new year, we look forward to building a school where staff feel valued, families feel welcomed, and students are excited to learn each day. There are many ways to get involved and stay connected, whether through our Parent Teacher Association (PTA), School Advisory Council (SAC), volunteering in classrooms, or joining us for school events and field trips. Your partnership strengthens our school and enriches the experiences of all students.

Thank you in advance for helping make Clay Springs Elementary a wonderful place for children to learn, grow, and thrive. Together, we will make the 2026–27 school year one filled with joy, achievement, and Black Bear pride.

Warmly,

Jessica Smith
